Preparation & Mixing Before starting the application, cover your clothing with an old towel or cape and place a watch nearby so that you can monitor the application time. Color Expert is to be used on dry, not washed, hair. Pierce the Colour Cream Tube with the reverse side of the cap and carefully squeeze the contents into the Developer Lotion Bottle. Replace the applicator nozzle and shake vigorously until the components are thoroughly mixed and are of a smooth consistency. Unscrew the upper cap and start the application immediately. Attention: The colour of the mixture changes during the application process. This has no impact on the colour result. 2a. Total Application This application is recommended if you are colouring your hair permanently for the first time, or your previous hair colour has totally grown out, i.e. no regrowth can be seen. Starting from the back of your head to the front, apply the prepared mixture strand after strand evenly from the roots to the ends of your hair. Then, using your fingertips work the mixture in ensuring all hair is evenly covered. Leave the mixture on for 30 minutes. For shades 9-1, 10-1, 10-2 and 10-4: Leave the mixture on for 45 minutes. 2b. Regrowth Application This method is recommended if your hair is coloured and regrowth is visible, or if the ends of your hair are darker or in poor condition. Using the tip of the applicator bottle, make a parting. Apply about 2/3 of the mixture to the regrowth area. With the supplied gloves still on, gently work the colour mixture in to ensure all regrowth is covered. Apply the remaining colour mixture throughout the mid-lengths and ends of hair and leave for an additional 10 minutes. For Shades 9-1, 10-1, 10-2 and 10-4: Apply to root area only and leave on for 35 minutes. Then, apply the remaining mixture to the mid-lengths and ends of hair for a maximum of 10 minutes. 3. Rinse & After Treatment Before rinsing your hair, put on the gloves again. Rinse the hair well at the end of the processing time with lukewarm water until water runs clear. Apply the After Treatment Mask to towel-dried hair.
