Clean the lid, jug and funnel in warm water with a mild detergent. Do not use abrasive cleaners. Jug and funnel can be put in the dishwasher (max. 50°C). The lid must not be cleaned in the dishwasher. To prepare your filter cartridge, remove the protective film. Note: Moisture can be present on the cartridge and the inside of the film, resulting from condensation. Place the cartridge in cold water, shake lightly to remove all air bubbles. Insert the filter cartridge into the funnel, and press down firmly. Make sure the cartridge is properly in the funnel. Fill the funnel with cold tap water and let it filter through. Pour the first two fillings away, or pour your plants with them. These first two fillings are used to rinse and prepare the filter cartridge. Fill the funnel again. The system is now ready to use. Made from coconut shell The cartridge is filled with activated carbon from coconut shells. As with any natural product, the size of the charcoal particles may vary slightly. The smaller the carbon particles, the larger the surface area, and therefore also the better the filtration performance. However, fine carbon dust can be deposited in the water. These particles have no negative health effects. When absorbed, they leave the human body naturally and in unchanged form. To eliminate this purely aesthetic impairment, if necessary, you can simply pour away the remaining water in the container.
